Lone Peak Police is Partnering with Utah Honor Flight

Lone Peak Police in Partnership with Utah Honor Flight are sending Airman 1st Class Reldon E. Barnes to Washington D.C. to visit the Korean War Veterans Memorial to commemorate his service during the Korean War Conflict.

Why is the 'FUZZ' so Fuzzy?

If you think back over history you typically don't see Police Officers with facial hair other than a mustache.  For a great cause Chief Gwilliam has relaxed our facial hair policy for the next four months (November 2016 - February 2017).  During these months Officers will have an opportunity to grow out their facial hair as part of a fundraiser for Utah Honor Flight.

This fundraiser allows our officers to grow facial hair after they purchase a $20 per month beard permit.  Clerical Staff are invited to participate in this fundraiser also.  For their $20 monthly donation, they may wear casual business attire instead of their uniform.

Proceeds from the permits will benefit Utah Honor Flight and Mr. Reldon E. Barnes (Veteran, Korean War) and will send him back to Washington D.C. to visit the Korean War Veterans Memorial.

We are really excited to be part of honoring not only Mr. Barnes but all Veterans who have served our country honorably.  To learn more of Mr. Barnes service please click on his name in the left pane.
