Brian J. Gwilliam
Chief of Police

Chief Gwilliam has worked for the LPPSD for over 25 years, the last 7 as Chief.  He started in Patrol, worked in Investigations, became a Patrol Sergeant and then Lieutenant/Patrol Commander.  He had previously worked for the State Department of Corrections.

Chief Gwilliam Currently serves as the chairman of the Utah Valley Dispatch Operations Board, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Utah Chiefs of Police Association.  

He is married with four children and enjoys spending time with them.  Hobbies include, both fresh, and salt water aquariums, art, and riding motorcycles.

In March 2018, Chief Brian J. Gwilliam and Officer Brett Wagstaff were both recognized by the Utah Chiefs of Police Association. Chief Gwilliam was awarded Chief of the Year and Officer Wagstaff received the Officer of the Year Awards.
